About The Position

The Land Analyst I supports Land Asset Teams in the acquisition and maintenance of oil and gas leases and Exploration & Production (E&P) contracts. This role focuses on research, reporting, and detailed data analysis to ensure accurate working interest and revenue calculations.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of relevant land, oil & gas, or E&P experience
• Intermediate-level competency with progression toward full proficiency
• General understanding of land and contract analysis principles
• Experience interpreting lease terms and contract provisions
• Ability to identify problems and develop practical solutions
• Capable of making decisions within well-defined guidelines

Responsibilities

• Assist Land Asset Teams with acquiring and maintaining oil & gas leases and E&P contracts
• Research and analyze leases and contracts
• Determine working interest (WI) and net revenue interest (NRI) for new wells, workovers, and recompletions
• Develop and maintain cross-functional relationships with Operations, Development, OBO, and Legal teams
• Generate reports using Quorum Land System and Business Objects
• Gather and analyze data related to contract and lease obligations
