About The Position

The Laborer will take part in sorting and preparing various materials to meet customer specifications within different departments of our facility. Physical Endurance: Ability to push and pull while sorting materials. Knowledge of Specifications: Understands quality specifications for job and the customer being shipped to. Reports: Completes production reports as needed. Adherence to Guidelines: Follows safety protocols and guidelines to minimize risks of accidents and injuries Clean Work Area: Maintains a clean and organized work area.

Requirements

• Ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to complete safety awareness training.
• Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to follow directions.
• Ability to listen, understand, and follow directions.
• Ability to work in a variety of roles.
• One to two years of related experience.
• Able to complete physically demanding work.
• Good hand-eye-foot coordination and sense of balance.
• Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.
• Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the entire body. This will include climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, carrying, and stooping.
• Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.
• Prolonged periods standing.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods of time.
• Must have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work.
• Ability to maintain single-task focus and situational awareness.
• Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises and smells associated with the plant.
• May work in a variety of weather including extreme heat and cold.
