Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 0-3 years of laboratory experience
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Laboratory testing and safety
Responsibilities
- Maintains accurate records of all specimens received and distributed from the laboratory
- Completes test request forms and enters the information into the Laboratory Information System accurately and efficiently
- Performs specimen preparation for testing and archiving with a high level of accuracy
- Makes determinations as to acceptability of specimens, files appropriate specimen rejection forms, and files revision request forms
- Performs non-licensed testing, interprets results, and prepares and distributes reports with a high level of accuracy
- Performs quality control and quality assurance review of work area
- Provides excellent customer service to internal customers by answering calls and assisting in requests
- Documents and maintains all internal customer requests, discrepancies, complaints, and escalates to the supervisor for resolution and trend analysis
- Adheres to all regulatory, safety, and sampling requirements
- Performs other duties as assigned
