Laboratory Services Coordinator - HHS Clinical Health Services

Acts as liaison between the Epidemiology Team, Immunization Team, Clinical Health Services team and the specimen processing lab. Aids in the data entry and preparation of reports using various databases. May require providing vacation or sick leave coverage as needed for medical assistant related duties.in the various clinical settings. Provide vaccination at community locations to include extended hours and weekend hours. Work closely with the Mobile Health Unit driver to plan/organize community outreach events as needed. Complete other duties as assigned by the direct supervisor and HHS leadership. Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Certified Medical Assistant or Pharmacy Tech certification required.
- 2 years demonstrated experience in a public health or clinical health setting.
- Ability to use Electronic health records.
- Basic data entry skills; organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to deal effectively with the public and other employees.
- Current Texas Driver License, eligible to drive a county vehicle.
Nice To Haves
- Class A or B driver license preferred, but not required.
