About The Position

Responsible for the administrative and technical management of 4 specific areas of the CAMC labs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (Required)
  • Clinical Lab Practitioner (Required)
  • Medical Tech, Cert (Required)
  • 4 Years generalist experience- one of which must have been in a supervisory capacity

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Medical Technology or Chemical, Physical, or Biological Science; business/employment related courses are beneficial

Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely, accurate and efficient test reporting via appropriate instrument, computer system, or other means of data transmission.
  • Responsible for all required accreditation/inspection documentation for assigned area.
  • Initiate appropriate corrective action and/or discipline as required by CAMC personnel policies and procedures.
  • Provide orientation and appropriate competency documentation for all employees in assigned area.
  • Prepare, monitor and justify operating budget for assigned area.
  • Monitor various management reports as applicable for accuracy, develop data for maximization of revenue, and provide corrections/updates as necessary.
  • Monitor TAT for optimum patient care and physician satisfaction.
  • Prepare productivity, CAP, TSI and other management reports as requested/required by upper management.
  • Provide for staff development by recommending seminars, arranging in-services and encouraging employee participation in projects related to corporate goals.
  • Participate in various committee assignments, e.g., patient care, physician satisfaction.
  • Maintain department, institution, and licensure (if applicable) required education; document appropriately.
  • Responsible for integrating continuous, quality improvement into department and institution operations.
  • Support and assist employee participation in the continuous, quality improvement processes.
  • Reinforce employee understanding of work integration with other departments throughout the institution.
  • Ensure the following regulatory standards/guidelines are in place and followed if applicable to the department: CAP, CMS, CLIA, DNV, FDA, OSHA, NRC.
  • Maintain and document all applicable required education.
  • Demonstrate positive customer service and co-worker relations.
  • Comply with the company's attendance policy.
  • Participate in the continuous, quality improvement activities of the department and institution.
  • Perform work in a cost effective manner.
  • Perform work in accordance with all departmental pay practices and scheduling policies, including but not limited to, overtime, various shift work, and on-call situations.
  • Perform work in alignment with the overall mission and strategic plan of the organization.
  • Follow organizational and departmental policies and procedures, as applicable.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
