About The Position

TalentFish is casting a line for Laboratory Assistants! This is a contract-to-hire role with onsite expectations in Lowell, AR. This position supports a newly created second shift and plays a critical role in testing consumer products against quality and regulatory standards. This role exists to expand laboratory testing capacity while supporting senior lab staff with hands-on testing, documentation, and equipment setup. Schedule: 2nd Shift: 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM 40 hours per week Duration: 2/23/2026 through 12/31/2026 All positions are expected to convert to full-time

Requirements

  • Some level of technical, laboratory, or manufacturing-related background
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field
  • Proficiency in English (reading and writing) to follow regulatory standards and documentation
  • Comfort using general laboratory equipment and laboratory information systems
  • Experience using mechanical tools such as tape measures, calipers, scales, power tools, saws, and presses
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and operational instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document test results

Responsibilities

  • Process lab samples and perform testing with guidance from senior staff
  • Build and adapt basic test setups and equipment for performance testing
  • Perform tests using general laboratory equipment
  • Maintain routine care of test equipment and work areas
  • Input and extract data using computer systems and available software
  • Follow defined test plans, datasheets, and procedures
  • Evaluate test performance and sample operation to assess results
  • Record, explain, and document test results
  • Prepare charts, graphs, and reports
  • Examine test samples and measuring instruments
  • Review test data with engineers and laboratory technicians
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and operating instructions
  • Communicate with customers during setup and testing to ensure proper evaluation
  • Operate designated laboratory equipment and tools
  • Record observed and calculated data on appropriate data sheets
  • Develop working knowledge of methods, instrumentation, and systems
  • Apply continuous improvement concepts to daily work
  • Follow all physical and digital security practices and required codes of conduct
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
