About The Position
St. Thomas Aquinas Regional School, in Woodbridge, VA is seeking Instructional Assistants who feel called by God to lead students closer to Him. Candidates should be joyful Catholics wanting to assist with student, teacher, and classroom needs. Instructional Assistants support the teacher in the classroom by preparing classroom materials, maintaining displays and bulletin boards in the classroom, supervising the class, assisting with small group learning, and performing other duties as assigned by the classroom teacher or administration. Instructional Assistants are also required to perform other supervision duties (dismissal, lunch, recess, etc.). About the Employer St. Thomas Aquinas Regional School was founded in 1977 and is administered and staffed by the religious community of the Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia and a lay faculty. It serves over 520 students from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade and three Arlington Diocese parishes: Our Lady of Angels, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton and Sacred Heart. It has a diverse student body with over 20 percent of the students speaking one of 17 secondary languages.
