Aids in preparing laboratory specimens and supplies. May be responsible for entering laboratory orders and results. Ensures the accuracy and quality of laboratory data in a safe and professional work environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or General Educational Development Diploma (GED) preferred (for Laboratory Assistant)
Active phlebotomy certification (for Senior Laboratory Assistant)
Bachelor's degree in biology or related subject (for Pathology Technician)
May be required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Nice To Haves

Completion of a formal phlebotomy program
Phlebotomy experience
Experience in a laboratory-related field

Responsibilities

Prepare laboratory specimens and related supplies in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines
Ensure the accuracy, quality, and integrity of laboratory data
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Assist in the onboarding and training of new team members
Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall laboratory operations
Perform phlebotomy
Collect, prepare and process biological specimens
Enter laboratory orders and results
