About The Position

The Laboratory Analyst at Eurofins performs analytical testing of water samples in compliance with OEPA and EPA regulatory standards. This role primarily serves as the analyst for EPA 525.2 and provides backup support for other analyses. Key responsibilities include preparing and documenting reagents, calibration standards, and quality control samples, as well as operating and maintaining analytical instrumentation. The analyst is also responsible for reviewing and validating analytical results, reporting deviations, maintaining method documentation (including IDOC/ODOC), participating in proficiency testing, audits, and corrective actions, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace while adhering to all laboratory safety protocols.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or related field OR equivalent laboratory experience
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
  • Professional working proficiency in English, including the ability to read, write and speak in English

  • Experience with EPA 525.2 (training provided)

Responsibilities

  • Perform analytical testing of water samples in compliance with OEPA and EPA regulatory standards
  • Serve as the primary analyst for EPA 525.2
  • Provide backup support for other analysis
  • Perform EPA 525.2 analyses for water samples following all SOPs, QA/QC, and laboratory safety standards
  • Prepare and document reagents, calibration standards, and quality control samples
  • Operate and maintain analytical instrumentation related to primary methods
  • Review and validate analytical results; report deviations or issues as needed
  • Maintain method documentation, including Initial and Ongoing Demonstration of Capability (IDOC/ODOC) for assigned methods
  • Participate in proficiency testing (PT), audits, and corrective actions as assigned
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all laboratory safety protocols
