Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel etc.
Comfortable working with biohazardous materials and using appropriate PPE at all times
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to sit for extended periods of time

Responsibilities

Accession and label specimens accurately.
Enter and update patient, physician, test, and billing information in the system.
Produce and apply barcode labels; prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
Communicate with facilities and clinical staff to resolve missing or unclear information.
Identify and report ALERT test results to nursing staff, following documentation protocols.
Maintain accurate records, audit reports, and a clean, organized work area.
