About The Position
This position is responsible for weighing, testing and cleaning of all crucibles needed for fiber analysis. This position will also assist with rumen processing as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED; required
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record that meets our insurance company requirements
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in quantitative analysis (1 year), preferred
- Lab environment experience, preferred
- Proficient computer skills and experience with standard software programs, preferred
Responsibilities
- Conduct analysis for starch digestibility
- Maintain the physical properties of the laboratory
- Weighing, testing, and cleaning crucibles for fiber analysis
- Dishing up and weighing samples as needed
- Process data entry into computer program
- Wash glassware
- Clean areas of lab
- Assist with rumen processing when needed
- Follow lab safety procedures as outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures and policies
- Keep current on lab methods and procedures
- Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor
