About The Position

As a Shift Lead, you will report to the Culinary Manager and be their eyes and ears on the ground when they are away. This position will also take on some of the responsibilities of the Culinary Manager, such as ordering supplies, processing inventory, and supervising and training other staff members. In addition, you will act as a line cook, using quality ingredients to produce food that is both approachable and classic, but with twists that keep it fresh. You'll be mixing dough and baking bread, roasting veggies and meats, cooking jams and sauces, and serving picture-worthy toasts, so versatility, creativity, and an eagerness for new foods are a must. This is an all-encompassing kitchen production, not your average coffee shop food re-heat. You will be prepping, cooking, and serving this food in a variety of styles that will continue to expand as our food program does. This position involves interacting with fellow cooks, barista staff, and guests daily, and helping to facilitate an efficient and supportive work environment. We are looking for service oriented people who either have BOH experience or have an interest in BOH kitchen work. Prior supervisory experience is a plus.
