About The Position
Assists in the preparation and serving of meals; cleans kitchen equipment and washes dishes; sweeps, mops, and waxes floors. Service Work: (95%) Assists in preparing meals, beverages and snacks; washes and chops fruits and vegetables; mixes beverages and arranges snacks. Assists in serving meals ensuring appropriate proportions are provided. Washes, dries, and stores pots, pans, plates, glasses, cups, bowls, and utensils. Cleans tables, chairs, and condiment holders Sweeps, mops, polishes, strips, and waxes kitchen and dining room floors. Cleans refrigerators, freezers, ice machines, coffee makers, stoves, and ovens. Stocks foods, beverages, and supplies in an orderly and safe manner. Empties trash cans. Assists in making special arrangements for special events and/or programs. Other Responsibilities: (5%) Performs other related work as required.
Requirements
- HS diploma or GED AND 1 year experience working in kitchen preferred, OR any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Ability to meet attendance requirements.
- Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs)
- Food Handlers Permit
