About The Position

ChildNet, Inc. is a private, not-for-profit community-based care (CBC) agency servicing Broward and Palm Beach County. They are contracted with the State of Florida, Department of Children and Families, to provide case management support to abused, abandoned, and neglected children. ChildNet is nationally accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA) and employs over 600 staff at its location in Ft Lauderdale and West Palm Beach, Florida. This position directs and leads the day-to-day operations of the Kinship Licensing Team toward meeting, exceeding, and maintaining established outcome measures, contract requirements, and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Two (2) years of experience in Human Services of Child Welfare programs
  • At least one (1) year of experience in Foster Home or Kinship Licensing
  • Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related human services field
  • Certified Child Welfare Professional
  • Ability to make complex decisions and balance the needs of stakeholders involved.
  • Ability to be sensitive to the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
  • Ability to manage execution and direct the work of others towards task completion.
  • Ability to provide high customer satisfaction with positive service delivery results.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as a Case Manager or Licensing Specialist preferred

Responsibilities

  • Ensures that work objectives assigned to team members are aligned with the organization’s values and mission.
  • Facilitates the collection of required reports and data collection, monitoring, and trending from the Kinship Licensing team.
  • Leads efforts of the team in timely and efficient Level 1 licensing activities.
  • Attends and participates in related meetings as assigned, both internally and with external regulators and partners.
  • Hires, trains, and motivates Kinship Licensing team members under their supervision in accomplishing work objectives as assigned.
  • Maintain current knowledge of issues, trends, and developments relevant to their area of expertise in child welfare practices to ensure compliance.
  • Acts as a liaison with key governmental agencies within their area of leadership and expertise.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
