About The Position

ASSA ABLOY is a market leader in commercial door hardware. The company's customer base includes commercial construction, institutional and industrial markets. Included in our product offerings are windstorm certified locks, hardwired and wireless access control devices, designer levers and antimicrobial hardware coating. We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Key Order Entry Processor to support our Order Entry and Keying Teams at our high-performing manufacturing facility in Berlin, CT. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate entry of keyed orders and updating Purchase Orders sent to outside vendors. In addition, the Processor will enter pricing on Purchase Orders as required in accordance with company parameters. You will ensure the accuracy of keying information and collaborate with customers to resolve any discrepancies or open issues. This role will sit on-site full-time in New Haven, CT reporting to the Manager of Order Entry and EDI.

Requirements

  • Must hold a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • A problem solver able to multi-task in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, time management and prioritization skills
  • Self-starter with a solid ability to manage responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • High level of computer aptitude with the ability to learn and embrace new technology.
  • Must be proficient in MSFT Office Suite specifically working hands-on with Excel.
  • Willingness and ability to work extended hours when business needs dictate.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience working with JDE ERP or other related experience to ERP systems.
  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize entry of orders based on program parameters (ie. Turbo).
  • Perform accurate data entry of detailed information as submitted on customer orders and in accordance with established standards.
  • Process customer orders under strict deadlines and communicate effectively any delays in orders via the Direct Outotec Nickel (DON) Smelting Process.
  • Effectively build cross-functional relationships.
  • Tactfully and professionally communicate company policies, procedures and standards with customers both internal and external.
  • Update and change orders as needed from outside vendor shipments.
  • Assist with any other order entry duties as needed in addition to daily responsibilities.
  • Promote company vision of providing world class service through the establishment and enforcement of rules, policies, procedures, “Best Practices” and continuous improvement ideology.
