The Complementary Distribution business line focuses on delivering RETAIL diesel and gas gensets (recip) up to 200 kVA to the USA market, leveraging an independent distribution network to work directly with customers and contractors to increase Caterpillar's market participation. The Key Account Manager for Complementary Distribution will manage business development and overall collaboration for this business line, which includes Gas and Diesel gensets up to 200 kVA.

Requirements

  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in any technical or business field, or equivalent experience.
  • Master’s degree or/and MBA.
  • 5 + years’ sales or account management experience.
  • Knowledge of retail gas and diesel market & technology.
  • Previous experience in similar role.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day business interaction between Complementary Distribution business line.
  • Manage end-to-end business including technical clarification, commercial clarification, bidding process and contract negotiation (in collaboration with other departments).
  • Serve as single point of contact to selected key customers.
  • Participate in selected fares and conferences in tight collaboration with Complementary Distribution - marketing team.
  • Close collaboration with technical department (training, commissioning, service technicians, …).
  • Weekly update of CRM.
