About The Position

The Key Account Manager is responsible for managing a regional grocery portfolio focused on revenue and relationship management. Key objectives include delivering annual revenue targets by achieving the assigned budget across regional grocery accounts, building and scaling the Key Account Manager function by establishing repeatable processes, playbooks, and cadences, developing broker partnerships to drive account-level execution, and protecting and growing base volume while pursuing incremental growth.

Requirements

  • Revenue ownership — ability to hit sales targets and manage trade spend within budget
  • Broker & partner coordination — ability to orchestrate execution across broker networks
  • Analytical problem-solving — experience using POS and trade data to inform decisions
  • Communication & influence — ability to present plans to buyers, brokers, and leadership
  • Experience in CPG or grocery account management
  • Proven track record of building retailer relationships and developing joint business plans
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously

Responsibilities

  • Account growth strategy — develop promotional plans, expand assortment, and increase in-store presence across assigned retailers
  • Retailer relationship management — build direct rapport with buyers and category managers; develop joint business plans
  • Day-to-day execution excellence — manage pricing, promotions, and order flow
  • Provide regular account updates to leadership and surface risks early for proactive intervention
