About The Position

A Transcriptionist at KCPC listens to voice recordings that physicians and other healthcare professionals make and convert them into written reports. Interpret medical terminology and abbreviations in preparing patients’ medical histories, discharge summaries, and other documents. This position is NOT REMOTE- 100% in office and is required to adhere to time and attendance policies. Requirements

• At least one year of experience as a transcriptionist.
• Adherence to time and attendance policies.
• COVID and Influenza vaccinations

Nice To Haves

• A 1-year certificate program or 2-year Associate’s degree which includes coursework in anatomy, medical terminology, risk management, legal issues relating to healthcare documentation, and English grammar and punctuation is preferred.
• Experience in health care preferred but not required.
