Requirements

  • Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
  • Four years of professional experience in any operation or program within the field of corrections, juvenile justice, criminal justice, law enforcement, recreation, academic or vocational education, health services or education, dietary or food management, construction project management, social work, or a related field.
  • A master's degree will substitute for one year of the required experience.
  • Additional experience in corrections, juvenile justice, criminal justice, law enforcement, recreation, academic or vocational education, health services or education, dietary or food management, construction project management, social work, or related field will substitute for the education on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, develops, recommends, and monitors Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) policy and programs in regards to Medicaid.
  • Collects and analyzes data and produces reports for the agency.
  • Collects and reviews data on Medicaid programs including the Consolidated Appropriations Act (CAA), the 1115 Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Waiver, and Tittle IV-E.
  • Plans, develops, and evaluates Medicaid in DJJ programs.
  • Provides technical assistance to the community, residential staff, and private providers regarding data collection and dissemination of information.
  • Conducts trainings on Medicaid programs as needed.
  • Develops and interprets DJJ Medicaid policies and standards and other applicable related policies and standards on a statewide basis.
  • Conducts research and studies, gathers information, reviews studies, and compiles related statistical data regarding youth.
  • Collects and analyzes data related to Medicaid programs.
  • Collaborates with the Cabinet of Health of Family Services (CHFS) regarding various Medicaid programs.
  • Produces comprehensive reports to DJJ executive staff management, agency, and non-agency representatives.
  • Attends meetings as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
