About The Position

BryceTech is currently looking for a Junior Technology Transfer Specialist. This position will be supporting DEVCOM CBC’s Office of Research and Technology Applications in executing technology transfer, partnership development, and outreach activities. The role will provide technical consultation on transfer mechanisms, analyze DEVCOM CBC intellectual property and publications for external applicability, prepare collaboration documentation, support outreach and training, and produce marketing and reporting products to advance technology transfer objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, technology management, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience supporting technology transfer, intellectual property, licensing, business development, or related activities.
  • Strong written communication skills for drafting agreements, reports, marketing materials, and training content; analytical ability to evaluate patents and technical literature; interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement and meeting facilitation; and organized recordkeeping for partner and metrics documentation.
  • Secret Clearance
  • Ability and willingness to support CONUS travel up to 15%

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical consultation to Office of Research and Technology Applications staff on technology transfer mechanisms, including agreement formation, business interactions and best practices, non disclosure agreements, royalty calculations, and license negotiations.
  • Analyze DEVCOM CBC patents and technical publications to determine applicability of DEVCOM CBC technologies to external entities.
  • Identify potential external users and partners by attending technology conferences and symposia, conducting literature searches, and leveraging professional networks.
  • Research and document potential partners and maintain an up to date record of partner capabilities.
  • Prepare and maintain required collaboration and partnership documentation such as cooperative research and development agreements, patent license agreements, and technology support agreements.
  • Compile and generate the annual technology transfer report, including defined technology transfer metrics for submission to the Department of Army Technology Transfer PM.
  • Develop and deliver outreach and in reach materials and training to educate the DEVCOM CBC workforce and potential partners about technology transfer opportunities, and provide follow on assistance after training events.
  • Organize, host, and participate in meetings, teleconferences, technical exchanges, and site visits to promote collaboration and address technical, management, and legal questions in consultation with technology transfer personnel and Government counsel.
