About The Position

The Junior Software Developer assists in the development, maintenance, and support of web and desktop applications under the guidance of senior developers and IT leadership. This role is designed for an early-career developer who is eager to learn, grow technical skills, and contribute to application development efforts while gaining hands-on experience with modern development tools, databases, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Foundational knowledge of web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
  • Basic experience or coursework in one or more programming languages such as C#, .NET, or similar.
  • Introductory experience working with SQL databases.
  • Ability to write basic SQL queries.
  • Familiarity with APIs and application integration concepts.
  • Strong willingness to learn new technologies and development methodologies.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow technical guidance.
  • Strong customer service mindset and communication skills.
  • Willingness to work occasional overtime as needed to support business needs.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field (or currently pursuing).
  • Relevant internships, bootcamps, coursework, or personal projects may be considered in lieu of professional experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Entry-level certifications or training are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of web and desktop applications.
  • Write, test, and debug code under supervision.
  • Participate in code reviews and follow established coding standards.
  • Help troubleshoot and resolve application issues.
  • Assist with database queries, reporting, and basic performance tuning.
  • Work with senior developers and stakeholders to understand business requirements.
  • Learn and apply application security and best-practice principles.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Provide hands-on troubleshooting support for Windows and macOS operating systems
  • Manage users and devices in Active Directory and Entra ID
  • Support Microsoft 365 services including Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues, including basic cabling and punch-down work
  • Assist with IT rollouts, upgrades, and projects impacting end users
  • Ensure accurate ticket documentation and adherence to support standards
