About The Position

As a Junior Software Developer within the Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services industry, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining software applications primarily using Java. You will collaborate closely with senior developers and cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and contribute to the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring high-quality and efficient software solutions. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1–4 years of experience in software development.
  • Proficiency in Java or Python programming language with a solid understanding of object-oriented principles.
  • Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle and agile methodologies.
  • Basic knowledge of software debugging and testing techniques.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with version control systems such as Git.
  • Exposure to web technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Understanding of database concepts and SQL.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the design, coding, testing, and debugging of Java-based applications.
  • Collaborate with team members to gather and analyze software requirements.
  • Assist in the documentation of software functionality and development processes.
  • Support the maintenance and enhancement of existing software systems.
  • Engage in code reviews and contribute to improving code quality and performance.
  • Work within the Software Development Life Cycle to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues as they arise.
