About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled, efficiency-driven Junior Paralegal with 1+ year of experience to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is “bionic” in their legal process—highly proficient in handling collections, defaults, and creditors' rights with precision, and a master at leveraging software and automation tools to optimize the collections and litigation workflow.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• 1+ year of legal experience with a strong understanding of collections, defaults, and creditors' rights.
• Exceptional organizational skills and a process-driven approach to legal work.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.
• Ability to handle multiple cases and meet deadlines effectively.
• Fantastic attitude and willingness to literally and metaphorically roll up the sleeves to get the job done.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced legal or financial services setting.
• Experience designing and implementing legal automation processes
• Comprehensive understanding of small business lending structures and relevant regulatory frameworks.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to safeguard company assets and drive strategic legal initiatives.
• Familiarity with the UCC and specifically Article 9.

Responsibilities

• Oversee legal matters related to collections, defaults, and creditors' rights within the MCA and small business lending space.
• Draft, review, and file legal documents, including motions, liens, and settlement agreements, focusing on speed and accuracy.
• Manage the end-to-end uncontested legal processes, from filing to resolution to achieving favourable and timely outcomes.
• Develop and implement cutting-edge, automated processes to streamline the collections and litigation lifecycle.
• Stay updated on legal trends and regulatory changes in commercial litigation, MCA, and small business lending, ensuring compliance and innovation.
