About The Position

Seeking an Administrative Assistant beginning August 2026 at Liberty Common Junior High School in Fort Collins, Colorado – a Poudre School District charter school dedicated to using the Core Knowledge curriculum in grades K-8. LCJHS provides excellence and fairness in education by teaching a contextual body of organized knowledge, the skills of learning, and the values of a democratic society. This is done through parental choice, partnership with teachers, and student acceptance of responsibility for his/her academic effort. FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Salary Non-Exempt EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Regular, Full-time WORK HOURS: 40 hours per week PAY RANGE: $35,000-$45,000 REPORTS TO: Office Manager REVISION DATE: April 2026 This position is for one of two front desk staff members. The two positions share the duties below. The staff member in this position will specialize as the attendance specialist.

Requirements

  • Experience in office or school settings.
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to represent the school in a professional and courteous manner to parents, students, and visitors.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a dynamic, customer-driven environment while maintaining a calm and professional atmosphere.
  • Demonstrated literacy with computer office suite products and the ability to learn other software programs.
  • Demonstrated skill in prioritizing and successfully completing multiple tasks and projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, initiative, attention to detail, and situational awareness.
  • Ability and willingness to be part of a hard-working, active team.
  • Certified in First Aid and CPR, or a willingness to become certified.
  • Good communication skills and initiative.

Responsibilities

  • Provides quality customer service in the school’s front office to all stakeholders.
  • Professionally greets visitors and efficiently answers telephones and email communication.
  • Maintains accurate and efficient period-by-period student attendance records and assists with other student-record systems.
  • Provides clerical and administrative support to all Liberty staff including, but not limited to, sending faxes, making copies, and sorting the mail.
  • Assists in coordinating school-wide events, assemblies, and staff gatherings.
  • Performs other common school-office and clerical duties as required.
  • Communicates effectively and proactively with parents, staff, and students.
  • Provides data entry and filing as necessary.
  • Administers first aid to students and staff as needed.
