About The Position

Sayres is seeking a Junior Financial Analyst in Washington DC, with a SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain a secret clearance, verifiable in DISS. New Graduates are welcomed to apply! A background/Degree in Accounting and strong excel skills would be a great fit! Work Location: Washington, DC Navy Yard: This position is 5 days a week on site and not eligible for hybrid remote. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (in Business, Finance, Political Science, or related field) OR a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of three (3) years of related financial management experience in Defense Industry/Department of the Navy in lieu of the degree.
  • Familiarity with MS Office.
  • Ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance within five (5) months of hire date.

  • Experience with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

  • Provide business, financial management, and administrative services.
  • Develop spend plans and budget-related products.
  • Provide program funding execution and financial reporting to the finance team.
  • Serve as the financial execution manager by updating and submitting monthly execution reports, spend plans, and various Excel reports as needed.
  • Conduct cost analysis and provide detailed reports regarding the financial status of the program.
  • Review, monitor, and assist the Program Office to determine the funds are executed properly.
  • Maintain accurate financial records for FMS cases and assist the team in navigating milestone requirements and compliance schedules.
  • Monitor commitments, obligations, expenditures, and workload analysis with Field Activities to ensure that financial accounts are balanced using Navy ERP system.
  • Develop a foundational understanding of Foreign Military Sales (FMS) through hands-on involvement in global projects.
