About The Position

Compile and analyze financial data, prepare reports, both statistical and financial, from multiple systems. Conduct analysis of activities at the macro and micro levels for use by managers and senior leadership. Responsible for tracking, analyzing and reporting provider productivity daily. Assist in preparation and generation of financial reports and audits. The Junior Financial Analyst provides a full range of finance support for all operational and administrative management partners, and acts as a liaison between business functions and finance/accounting leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience in place of a degree
  • Minimum 2 years in accounting
  • Good oral and written communication.
  • Knowledge of financial reporting, cost analysis, and accounting practices. Advanced knowledge of excel required.
  • Ability to successfully implement policies and procedures.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively.
  • High level of communication with internal and external stakeholders with excellent follow through skills.
  • Lifting of no more than 15 lbs.
  • May be required to work evenings and/or weekends occasionally.
  • Pre employment requirements include I-9, physical, positive background and reference check results, complete application, new hire orientation, pre employment PPDs.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for accurately forecasting and reporting results on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  • Prepare month end journal entries and financial reports, and ad hoc reporting for needed statistics, with oversight.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual operating and capital budgets for all business functions, including planning for strategic objectives, headcount, initiatives, expenses and productivity
  • Provide comprehensive variance analysis, including identification of gaps, trends and opportunities within the company and recommendations for possible course corrections necessary to functional and finance management
  • Perform assigned GL reconciliations monthly; enters adjusting journal entries as directed and provides adjustment recommendations to supervisor for maintenance of clean and accurate account balances
  • Plan, facilitate, and implement ad hoc analyses to support decision-making, evaluate business initiatives, evaluate performance
  • Track, report, and analyze provider productivity for accuracy and daily, monthly, and annual reporting. Follow through on discrepancy resolution.
  • Review and analyze monthly labor allocation reports for accuracy and initiate allocation change requests and reclass journal entries to correct erroneous data
  • Prepare month-end site and department financial statements and clinic performance report templates
  • Document workflow, procedures, checklists, and policies for assigned tasks.
  • Assists in maintaining and developing departmental policies and procedures in matters affecting cost, accounting, budgeting, and reporting policies.
  • Enhances professional growth and development through participation in current educational programs, service meetings and workshops.
  • Attends meetings as required and participates on committees as directed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
