Fisk Electric, a Tutor Perini Company, is seeking to hire a Junior Estimator to join our Los Angeles, CA office. Extraordinary Projects need Exceptional Talent DESCRIPTION: Fisk Electric is looking for a Junior Estimator that would primarily be tasked with providing quantity takeoffs, obtaining quotes and proposals and data entry in estimating software. This position would receive direction from and work closely with Estimators and Project Managers. The training/experience gained through this position provides advancement to the title of Estimator. Timing depends on effort, progress, and success of the individual candidate.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree desired (Electrical / Mechanical Engineers, Construction Management, or related field); High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Prior experience in construction industry preferred
• Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future

Responsibilities

• Review and understand contract specifications, documents & drawings to perform takeoff’s accurately
• Performs plan measurements to develop and/or verify quantity estimates
• Stay apprised of industry standard software including researching and reviewing new technologies to expedite the takeoff process
• Communicate with Engineering Consultants and Designers to coordinate information digitally to complete takeoff’s
• Occasional project site visits and pre-bid meeting attendance
• Special projects as necessary
• Assist with other estimating duties as assigned
