About The Position

The Junior Engineer will be working hands-on in the R&D department with both the food products and related packaging. The Junior Engineer will be responsible for hands-on testing, organization of the lab, data entry, and data analysis. Their perspective will be considered regarding R&D decisions for the products they are working on. The position will be Monday - Friday, day shift.

Requirements

Professional experience (internship or co-op accepted) working in a manufacturing, production, or pilot plant environment.
The Junior Engineer will need a positive attitude, professional communication skills, and an openness to learn and be assigned different tasks within the team.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Microsoft Office skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience in the food industry or food-related research preferred.
Experience in managing projects independently.
Experience working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with multiple teams to review and analyze data to help make decisions for the food product line, focusing on efficiency, optimization, and cost reduction
Assist with hands-on mechanical and physical testing as well as lab processes, maintaining safety standards.
Assisting with and executing trial runs.
Data entry and management, as well as reporting.
Completing documentation with a high level of accuracy.
Think outside the box on challenges facing the product line.
Analyze packaging components for reliability and quality.
