About The Position
Achieve Behavioral Health, a 501.3c non profit located in Rockland county New York, is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Software Developer to join our growing team. The position will require development and maintenance or Electronic Health Record code design, Level-2 support, and API integration with other enterprise applications. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who is eager to build real-world experience, learn from experienced engineers, and contribute to meaningful projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Basic understanding of programming languages such as SQL, JavaScript, Python, Java, and C#
- Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good communication and willingness to learn
Nice To Haves
- Internship or project experience in software development
- Exposure to databases (SQL or NoSQL)
- Familiarity with web development frameworks or tools (e.g., React, Node.js, or similar) is a plus
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of software applications
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, product managers, and senior developers
- Participate in code reviews and learn best practices
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and development trends
