About The Position

We are seeking multiple skilled and passionate Junior Software Developers to join our HQ team at TekSynap. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing, collaborative development team where you’ll contribute to cutting-edge solutions supporting our internal operations and key customer-facing projects. The ideal candidates will align to one or more of the following specialty areas: ServiceNow Developers – Experience with custom scoped app development, integrations, publishing to the ServiceNow store and out of box implementations of ITSM, SAM, CSM, HAM, or HRSD. Full Stack Software Developers – Proficient in programming languages including Java, JavaScript, Python, C#, C++, HTML, and CSS. Microsoft Power Platform Developers – Experience building workflows, apps, and integrations using Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse is a significant plus. GIS Software Developers – Candidates with geospatial data experience, GIS libraries, or mapping frameworks will support our geospatial initiatives. AI/ML Developers – We're seeking developers with proven experience in modern AI/ML workflows, especially those familiar with Large Language Models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and agentic AI systems that use tools and memory in autonomous or semi-autonomous task workflows. UI Developers – Front-end developers with expertise in building responsive, intuitive interfaces using modern frameworks are also encouraged to apply. Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Mid-level proficiency with Windows and Linux command-line interfaces.
  • Proficient in programming languages including Java, JavaScript, Python, C#, C++, HTML, and CSS.
  • Experience with front-end development using Vite, React, and Tailwind CSS for responsive UI/UX design.
  • Proficient in backend development using Node.js, FastAPI, and/or .NET for building RESTful APIs and high-performance services.
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, Cypress, PyTest, and other modern testing practices.
  • Proficient in Git for version control, including collaborative workflows, branching, and merging.
  • Experience working with both relational and NoSQL databases, such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or spatial databases for GIS.
  • Knowledge of secure authentication and authorization mechanisms using OAuth2, JWT, or SSO frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Docker and experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
  • Mid-level understanding of cloud environments including AWS and/or Microsoft Azure, including deployment, monitoring, and resource management.
  • Solid understanding of secure coding practices and modern development methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and DevSecOps.
  • Experience developing full-stack or platform-specific solutions, integrating RESTful APIs, and supporting distributed systems.
  • One or more of the following must be obtained prior to or during the first 90 days of employment: ServiceNow Certified Application Developer, ServiceNow Certified System Administrator, Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate, Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate, AWS Certified Developer – Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate, Certified Software Development Professional, Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP), DevOps Institute - DevOps Foundation, DevOps Institute - DevSecOps Practitioner, DevOps Institute - Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Foundation, ICAgile Certified Professional (ICP), CIW Web Development Professional, ISTQB Certified Tester – Foundation Level, GIAC Secure Software Programmer, Esri Developer Certification (Desktop or Web Developer Associate)
  • Excellent communication skills, with a focus on problem-solving, collaboration, and clear technical documentation.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize, triage, resolve, and escalate issues efficiently.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to low-code/no-code platforms such as Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) is a plus.
  • Experience with ServiceNow development, scoped apps, or ITSM modules is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, LLMs, or GIS frameworks is a strong plus for specialized roles.
  • Strong grasp of development best practices, including version control, peer code reviews, and automated deployments.
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and test scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions across ServiceNow, custom applications, Power Platform, GIS, and AI/ML systems.
  • Develop and support ServiceNow applications including ITSM, CSM, SecOps, or HRSD modules, custom scoped apps, integrations, and automation workflows.
  • Build full-stack web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vite), C#, Python (FastAPI), and RESTful APIs.
  • Support C#/.NET-based solutions including workflow-driven systems.
  • Create Power Platform solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, and connectors to integrate M365 or external systems.
  • Contribute to geospatial applications using GIS SDKs, APIs, or libraries.
  • Design and implement AI/ML solutions including LLM agents, vector search, prompt orchestration, and RAG pipelines.
  • Participate in project meetings including daily standups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Conduct code reviews, mentor peers, and follow secure development practices.
  • Maintain and extend CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and design artifacts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define user requirements and translate them into actionable solutions.
  • Debug and resolve software issues across diverse environments and platforms.
  • Coordinate with vendor or platform support teams to resolve complex technical challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with security, performance, and regulatory standards across all developed solutions.
