About The Position

The Junior Buyer supports procurement operations by purchasing packaging, supplies, and tooling required for manufacturing activities. This entry-level role ensures materials are acquired in a timely, cost-effective manner while maintaining quality and supplier performance standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 0–2 years of experience in purchasing, inventory, administrative support, or a manufacturing environment preferred
• Basic understanding of procurement processes and supply chain principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Ability to learn ERP or purchasing systems
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Basic negotiation and vendor communication skills
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to learn and grow within the organization
• Dependable and proactive team player

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned duties in accordance with documented procedures and work instructions
• Assist in sourcing and purchasing packaging materials, production supplies, and tooling
• Create, issue, and track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment to prevent shortages or overstock
• Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, availability, and delivery schedules
• Resolve discrepancies related to shipments, invoicing, or quality issues
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation in ERP systems
• Support cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with internal departments including production, warehouse, and accounting
