Make a difference with us at WestLand! WestLand is adding a Junior Business Data Analyst to our team! The Junior Business Data Analyst performs various financial, operational, and HR data analysis functions, including assistance with budgeting, financial reporting, and dashboard development. This position supports decision-making across the organization by providing accurate and actionable analysis to management and executive leadership. This position will be based in our Tucson, Arizona office.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Accounting, Finance, or similar field required.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Familiarity with business and accounting principles.
- Familiarity with FAR regulations and financial reporting standards.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with corporate budgeting, financial reporting, and ERP systems (Deltek Vantagepoint or similar) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Gather, organize, interpret, and analyze financial, HR, business development, and operational data.
- Begin to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities based on data analysis.
- Create dashboards and build custom reports using Excel and ERP systems.
- Assist with financial reports and variance analysis, supporting accrual and cash basis reporting.
- Assist with tasks related to the corporate budgeting process and monitor performance against plan.
- Support HR data gathering and reporting needs.
- Support compliance with accounting regulations and internal standards.
- Document all analysis with accuracy and clarity for internal and external stakeholders.
