About The Position

Torch Technologies is seeking a motivated Junior Data Analyst/Engineer to join a well-established team in an AVMC lab that supports the development, test, and fielding of a tactical missile defense system. The selected candidate will work with real-time hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) systems, tactical software & hardware, and digital representations of complex missile defense systems. As a Junior Data Analyst/Engineer your duties will include the following, but are not limited to: Common tasks for this position include analysis tool design and development, and complex analysis on missile defense system and/or algorithm performance. The selected candidate will investigate issues, perform root cause analysis, and develop creative solutions to complex technical problems. The selected candidate may support a broad range of projects including performance analysis, modeling & simulation (M&S), post-flight reconstruction, and integration and risk reduction efforts. Apply practical engineering knowledge across a broad range of established system engineering principles, concepts, and methods The selected candidate will interact with external customers and stakeholders within the program offices, and development prime contractors.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship.
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, Physics, Math, or Computer Science from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of relevant working experience with sensor and/or system-level data analysis.
  • Must have an active secret clearance.
  • 2+ years of relevant working experience with sensor and/or system-level data analysis.
  • Proficient in data manipulation and analysis, data visualization, signal and data processing, electromagnetics, and/or system engineering using MATLAB or similar tools.
  • Must have the ability to recognize and analyze problems, conduct research, summarize results, and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for interpreting complex data and developing effective models.
  • Ability to develop and/or contribute to reports and briefings that explain complex system behaviors effectively to a broad range of audiences.
  • Ability to multi-task and work effectively across multiple efforts.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience developing and/or improving complex analysis tools using MATLAB.
  • Experience in C, C++, Linux/Unix operating systems, and Microsoft Office.
