About The Position

The Junior Accounting Specialist will support the accounting department with daily financial operations including accounts payable processing, financial transaction entry, reconciliations, and documentation management. This role plays a key part in maintaining the accuracy, organization, and integrity of financial records while supporting internal teams and vendors. The position offers exposure to multiple accounting functions and provides a strong foundation for career growth within finance and accounting.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 0–2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or financial operations experience
  • Entry-level candidates with accounting education are encouraged to apply
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software preferred
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain accurate and well-documented financial records
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Experience with Quickbooks Online
  • Minimum 1 years of experience in accounting,
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • CPA is a plus but not required

Responsibilities

  • Process vendor invoices and enter transactions accurately into the accounting system
  • Maintain vendor records including W-9 forms and supporting documentation
  • Assist with vendor communication regarding invoices, payments, and documentation
  • Assist with recording customer invoices and incoming payments
  • Maintain organized documentation related to billing and payment records
  • Enter financial transactions into the accounting system in a timely and accurate manner
  • Maintain well-organized records of invoices, receipts, and financial documentation
  • Assist with monthly bank account and credit card reconciliations
  • Help investigate and resolve discrepancies when needed
  • Assist with month-end closing activities, reconciliations, and documentation preparation
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the accounting department
  • Assist with financial record organization and internal documentation as needed
