About You and This Role Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Junior Pilot Plant Technician in Freeport, TX. You are a self-starter who can identify, prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks. You can provide support to the operation of the Research & Development (R&D) Pilot Plant. You can work directly with engineers, scientists, leaders, and other technicians to ensure safe and reliable operation of the plants to deliver samples and process data as requested in the planned experiments. In this role, you will be using standard operating procedures to complete defined activities to develop the technical skills required to perform routine tasks. You will need to understand how these assigned tasks relate to other jobs and be able to exchange information in routine situations within your workgroup. It is your responsibility to use procedures to resolve problems. You are accountable for managing your assigned tasks and the accuracy of your own work. You will receive supervision and guidance in this role. This position supports Dow’s Packaging, Specialty Plastics & Hydrocarbons Research and Development Programs and is located at the Freeport, TX site.
