About The Position

As a CBRE Journeyman Plumber, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing plumbing systems across multiple healthcare facilities, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate will be client-facing, highly responsive, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

Requirements

  • Possession of a valid Journeyman Plumber license.
  • Proven ability to work overtime and weekends as required for emergency response and operational needs.
  • Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex plumbing issues.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience.
  • In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Plumbing certification at the Journeyman level required.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
  • Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Medical Gas certification and Backflow certification preferred.
  • Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform expert troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of complex plumbing issues, including valves, pipes, and leaks, across diverse healthcare facilities.
  • Execute timely responses to emergency plumbing tickets, including participation in an on-call rotation that requires weekend availability to minimize disruption to patient care and facility operations.
  • Complete assigned work orders efficiently and effectively, adhering to established timelines and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including repairs, installations, and system inspections.
  • Adhere to all local plumbing codes, safety regulations, and healthcare-specific compliance standards, including those related to clean water supply, sanitation, and infection control.
  • Collaborate effectively with other maintenance staff and departments to ensure seamless integration of plumbing systems with other building infrastructure.
  • Repair, install, replace, test, and troubleshoot the water and medical gas supply and distribution system.
  • Install new water systems, piping, and fixtures by blueprints, drawings, specifications, and applicable codes.
  • Ensure waste and vent lines are in good operating condition using a plumber's snake, vacuum plunger, or jet washer.
  • Assist other staff members or contractors on projects or equipment installations.
  • Complete plumbing safety inspections on backflow devices.
  • Provide training to other staff members so they can perform light plumbing maintenance and repair.
  • Perform general maintenance and building systems operational duties as assigned or directed.
  • Respond to emergency situations, summoning extra help as needed.
  • Follow all activity policies and procedures, always including all HSE-related requirements.
  • Complete all HSE programs & activities as required, including incident investigations, interviews, auditing, and assessment, etc.
  • Report any conditions that could result in an accident or injury to management.
