Our team is small, skilled, and driven by the belief that better tools lead to better outcomes. The Opportunity We’re looking for an experienced Journeyman Machinist to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a highly skilled tradesperson who takes pride in precision work, thrives in a collaborative environment, and wants to be part of a company that values craftsmanship and continuous improvement. You’ll work on a wide range of projects from custom one-offs to small production runs using both manual and CNC equipment. You’ll have the autonomy to manage your own jobs from setup to inspection, contributing directly to our reputation for quality and reliability.

Requirements

  • Journeyman Machinist certification (Red Seal preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years of machining experience (manual and CNC) in a precision manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex blueprints
  • Strong knowledge of machining materials (steel, aluminum) and cutting tools
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, accuracy, and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Team-oriented with a willingness to share knowledge and mentor apprentices

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Fanuc CNC programming, gauge maker, and API threading considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate manual and CNC machines to produce precision components to exact specifications
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to plan machining operations
  • Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and speeds/feeds for efficient, high-quality production
  • Inspect parts using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) and ensure tolerance compliance
  • Perform machine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting as needed
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, assembly technicians, and quality control teams
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts in workflow, tooling, and process optimization
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
