About The Position

KBR is seeking a Joint Operational Logistics Planner/Subject Matter Expert (SME) with deep knowledge of U.S. military logistics and operational planning to apply expertise in a model and simulation (M&S) environment in support of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). Knowledge should be in the areas of planning, managing, and executing the movement and sustainment of military forces into—and within—theater through the supply and maintenance of personnel, materiel, equipment, and services. Candidate must be able to apply expertise to deconstruct missions, assist in the development of operationally relevant design of experiments in the M&S environment, and support analysis of logistic flows in a contested environment. The ideal candidate will: Serve as the operational logistics authority within an interdisciplinary team supporting DARPA and other Defense M&S efforts. Be comfortable working in a dynamic environment and with making or supporting decisions under uncertainty. Support the development, configuration, and execution of mission-level simulations to analyze force employment, sustainment, and readiness across contested environments. Translate operational logistics plans, requirements, doctrine, and tactics into computational models, simulation inputs, and scenario constructs. Support and/or conduct quantitative analysis of theater logistics resilience, force mobility, deployment timelines, and sustainment operations. Support and/or perform sensitivity analyses, trade-off studies, and risk assessments using simulation outputs. Provide technical review and validation of M&S results against doctrine, historical data, and/or real-world operations. Author and deliver technical reports, white papers, and decision briefs for senior military and civilian leaders. Collaborate with DoD labs, FFRDCs, and industry partners on advancing next-generation M&S tools for logistics and operations. Lead small teams or tasks in support of the broader overall effort.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and at least 12 years of relevant experience in U.S. military operations, operational logistics, sustainment, and/or force deployment
