Job Coach DSP (Full-time)
About The Position
Starting Pay: $16 - $18.50 per hour (with annual raises) Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8AM-4PM (40 hrs per week) Some weekend availability is required Join our Team We’re looking for compassionate team members to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) at our Day Support Program and in Employment Path. This full-time position blends caregiving with hands-on teaching of motor skills, employment preparation, and daily living skills. You’ll also accompany clients on community outings to the movies, bowling, and more! No experience required.
Requirements
- Must be over the age of 18 years old
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must pass a pre-employment driving records screening
- Must have a valid driver's license that is insurable by HPI's auto insurance provider (Driving Required Position)
- Must pass a pre-employment background check by Oregon DHS (renewed every 2 years)
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal)
- Basic computer skills (Typing, email, printer/copier). Computer is used daily for client documentation.

Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living including bathroom use and personal hygiene
- Support client employment and job coaching (+$1 per hour when job coaching)
- Provide safe, respectful, and compassionate care
- Document client progress accurately on a computer every day
- Follow safety and emergency protocols
- Use adaptive equipment and transport clients as needed (Company Vehicle provided)
- Plan and accompany clients on community outings and activities
- Administer client medications per the prescription
