This is a full-time position. Their responsibilities include providing information of on-the-job assessments to evaluate individual’s skills and abilities. They will perform task analyses and provide direct on-hands training in various job settings to familiarize the individual with specific job tasks/demands. This may consist of modeling cleaning procedures, washing dishes, sweeping/mopping, bagging groceries, stocking, packaging, assembly, operating machinery, collecting recyclable products, performing clerical tasks, and a number of other specific jobs. The coach will fade training gradually as the individual develops a standard of production acceptable to the employer. They must also assist in developing positive relationships and provide a source of awareness to supervisors and coworkers on the productive and positive qualities of people with disabilities. This includes educating the employer and coworkers on supervising, training, communicating and supporting the individual. The Job Coach must complete the necessary paperwork, daily notes, progress notes, monthly progress reports, and monthly earning reports that pertain to the requirements of funding entities.
