About The Position

We are seeking a Job Captain with 5-10 years of experience to support SD, DD, and CD for commercial projects. This person should have a knowledge of the design process, construction documentation and construction administration, and have a strong knowledge of material, detailing, and systems coordination. Candidates need to have experience with ground up commercial projects. Requirements

  • NAAB Accredited Architecture Degree (B.Arch or M.Arch)
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience as an Architect/Designer in a firm
  • Strong knowledge of the design process, construction documentation and construction administration
  • Strong knowledge of the commercial construction, zoning and building codes, specifications, building and engineering systems
  • Strong knowledge of material, detailing, and systems coordination
  • Strong knowledge and experience in Revit
  • Competence with AutoCAD, Sketchup
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • Hand drawing skills, Lumion and BIM experience and AutoCAD experience is a plus
  • Experience or interest in supporting marketing (RFP, RFQ, presentations, etc.) efforts is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Support project managers and project architects in the development of project documents
  • Meticulously assist in preparing drawings for schematic design (SD), design development (DD), and construction documents (CD) including design sketches, renderings, BIM modeling, graphics, details, sections, elevations, and schedules
  • Compile data and perform design computations, assist in production of amendments, addenda, and bulletins
  • Assist in performing site analysis, calculations, and surveys of existing conditions and field measurements
  • Assist in the research of materials and systems necessary for the constructability and practical execution of a project
  • Responsible for adherence to the project schedule, deliverables, and milestones
  • Be responsible for managing your own workload in an accurate and cost-effective manner
