Must be fluent in Japanese to communicate with global headquarters. Manage production schedule for the entire Plant, based on standard times provided by each department. Track incoming shipments from Japan (via Ocean or Air) and ensure parts arrive in time for use. Assign necessary paperwork to jobs for tracking purposes (travelers, parts pick lists, assembly checkbooks, etc.) Notify the Traffic Department when a machine has been completed to assist in scheduling a pickup. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Support Production in all operational aspects of assigned machine models. Provide documentation for the Plant to track things such as lot, serial number, and specification materials. Assist in identifying and resolving inventory discrepancies to ensure the accuracy of the Materials Requirement Plan. Document and communicate purchase orders or purchase order changes to Japanese suppliers. Be aware and communicate significant supplier situations that may impact objectives and supply. Participate in company initiatives and contribute to continuous process improvements. Assist in inventory counts to ensure system data matches what is out on the floor. Communicate quality issues to suppliers and coordinate resolutions of the issues with suppliers. Enter data into the system with 100% accuracy and zero errors when updating the production schedule. Employees are to speak only English during an emergency and while performing job duties where there is potential for an emergency. The rule does not apply to casual conversations between employees when they are not performing a job duty or roles where they have to translate. Non-field-related positions require in-office work 5 days a week at the assigned facility. NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Prepare special reports as needed. Maintain files and records. Ability to work with different members of the supervisory staff.
