About The Position

Pinehurst Landscapes is a well-established landscaping and nursery business committed to delivering exceptional service to our clients. We're seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Translator to join our team in a part-time, hybrid role to support communication between members of our staff.
We are seeking a reliable and professional bilingual translator to provide on-call translation services for our landscape company. This position supports communication between management and our diverse workforce, which includes H2A and H2B visa employees as well as year-round team members.

Requirements

• Fluency in both English and Spanish (written and verbal)
• Strong interpretation skills with the ability to accurately convey meaning, tone, and context
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality
• Reliable transportation to job sites or company locations
• Flexibility to respond to on-call translation needs, including occasional early mornings or evenings
• Cultural awareness and sensitivity to diverse backgrounds
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as a translator or interpreter
• Familiarity with landscape/agricultural terminology
• Knowledge of H2A/H2B visa programs and requirements
• Certification in translation or interpretation
• Experience working in construction, agriculture, or landscape industries
• Understanding of OSHA safety terminology in both languages

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate verbal translation between English and Spanish during employee meetings, safety trainings, and one-on-one discussions
• Translate written materials, including work assignments, safety instructions, company policies, and employee communications
• Assist with H2A and H2B visa program communications, including housing information, work schedules, and program requirements
• Facilitate communication during employee orientations and onboarding processes
• Translate during HR matters, including interviews, performance reviews, and disciplinary proceedings
• Support management in communicating daily work assignments and project details to Spanish-speaking crew members
• Provide translation services during safety incidents or emergency situations when needed
• Translate company documents, signage, and training materials as requested
• Be available for phone or in-person translation services with reasonable notice
