About The Position

As a Janitorial Project Manager at our client's Distribution Center, you will oversee the cleaning and maintenance operations within the facility. This role requires a combination of project management skills and hands-on leadership to ensure that the facility maintains a high standard of cleanliness and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will be experienced in managing large-scale janitorial projects, coordinating teams, and implementing innovative cleaning solutions. Compensation: $65000 annual salary (US Dollars) The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data. Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in janitorial or facilities management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role within a large facility or distribution center.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and project management skills, excellent organizational abilities, proficient in MS Office and facility management software, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Operational Management: o Develop and implement janitorial strategies that ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of the distribution center. o Manage daily operations of the janitorial staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed to Amazon’s standards. o Oversee the scheduling and deployment of janitorial teams across various shifts to cover all necessary areas of the facility.
  • Staff Management: o Hire, train, and supervise janitorial staff, providing ongoing feedback and support to ensure high performance and efficiency. o Conduct regular performance evaluations and organize training workshops to enhance skill levels of staff. o Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement among team members.
  • Budget and Supply Management: o Develop and manage the janitorial budget, including supplies and equipment procurement while ensuring cost-effectiveness. o Maintain inventory control of cleaning supplies, tools, and equipment, placing orders and negotiating with suppliers as necessary.
  • Quality Control and Compliance: o Implement quality control measures to ensure that cleaning standards meet or exceed regulations and company expectations. o Conduct regular inspections and audits of the facility to identify areas for improvement and compliance with health and safety regulations. o Respond to and resolve any issues related to cleaning or maintenance swiftly and effectively.
  • Project Coordination: o Manage special cleaning projects, coordinating with other departments and external contractors as necessary. o Ensure seamless communication and coordination among different teams within the facility. o Report regularly to the Facilities Operations Manager on project statuses, challenges, and achievements.
