About The Position

Short-Term Short-Term Janitorial/Housekeeping Position: This is a short-term position (lasting until around mid-February) located in Walhalla, SC working on 2nd shift 3:00PM-11:00PM, but training on 1st shift from 7:00AM-3:00PM. Pay Rate is $19.17/hr. Competitive benefits are offered through ETCON Employment Solutions at the time of hire. Summary / Purpose: You will be responsible for day-to-day cleaning and upkeep of buildings, offices and other assigned areas within the facility. Work performance and cleaning shall be to a level that meets established cleaning standards and expectations.

Requirements

Must be self-starter and work with little supervision.
Must be proficient in math to be able to process supplies check ins and check outs.
Must have good attitude and people person skills to communicate effectively.
High School Diploma, GED or SC Work Keys will be considered.
Experience in Industrial Facility Janitorial cleaning is a requirement.
Must be able to pass Bloodborne Pathogen training.

Responsibilities

Physically demanding job. lifting, standing, stooping and pushing 99% of time.
Run a floor scrubber weekly to clean facility isle ways.
Empty/Wash trash cans daily in each area throughout the facility.
Clean, Sanitize and refill paper products daily in each bathroom.
Empty Recycle paper and cardboard bins daily.
Vacuum front office/lobby areas daily.
Clean and empty trash in smoking area daily.
Clean facility windows as needed.
Clean, Sanitize all canteen tables and floors daily.
Manage Janitorial inventory supplies to keep a min/max qty on hand at all times.
Must be able to unstop blockages and other issues in bathrooms via plunger or drain snake.
Capable of using small hand tools to repair or replace items used in dispensing.
Must be neat and organized individual to make use of space for Janitorial supplies.

Must be able to work compactors and determine full rate by gauges.
Responds to Janitorial issues as they arise in a timely manner.
Clean Refrigerators out on a bi-weekly basis.
Must adhere to all safety Policy and proper PPE worn at all times.
