Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED or at least six (6) months of custodial experience.
  • Ability to follow simple but detailed oral instructions.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required credentials, including facility access and background checks.
  • This position is part of the AbilityOne Program and requires a documented disability.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain offices, commercial spaces, and washrooms in an orderly condition.
  • Sweep, scrub, wax, and polish floors using manual and powered equipment.
  • Vacuum and clean rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture.
  • Dust furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Clean and polish metal fixtures and fittings.
  • Wash walls, ceilings, windows, door panels, and sills.
  • Empty wastebaskets and transport trash and refuse to designate disposal areas.
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, including replenishing supplies.
  • Perform minor maintenance tasks and ensure spaces are well-stocked.
  • Follow all safety standards and proper equipment usage guidelines.
  • Maintain a positive team spirit and produce quality work.
  • Demonstrate professional conduct in alignment with Didlake policies.
  • Complete all required training and maintain compliance.
