About The Position

Torch Technologies is seeking an Item Manager, Senior to join the team at Hill AFB, UT. Torch Technologies is a 100% employee-owned business dedicated to providing superior research, development, and engineering services to the Department of Defense. As defense contractors, the services we provide directly support the warfighter. As an Item Manager, Senior your duties will include the following, but are not limited to: Apply a thorough knowledge of acquisition to disposal processes; automated records and control systems; material substitution and compatibility criteria for small arms weapons; storage, issue, and disposal processes; USAF mobility requirements, and the USAF supply system as they relate to D200C (ERRC S and U) and Stock Control Systems (SCS) assets. Manage the worldwide inventory of Air Force items from acquisition to disposal for assigned weapon systems and commodities. Apply in-depth knowledge of AF accountable supply systems for munitions or non-munition items as applicable to the item(s) being managed. Manage multiple commodities within the same family group to include minimizing backorders, directing repairs and directing movement of items. Assist DoD budgeting processes. Determine funding requirements to sustain assigned product lines. Interface with end users’ operational environments to resolve item availability issues. Analyze inventory support postures to determine ability to provide items to end users and avoid instances of weapon systems being Not Mission Capable due to Supply (NMCS). Assist with processes involved in demilitarizing and disposing of obsolete or non-repairable items and removing them from Air Force accountable records. Manage transportation accounts, to include Transportation Account Code (TAC) auditing, shipment accountability, execution status, budgeting and cost management, and requirements analysis and forecasting. Review monthly billing summaries for assigned TAC(s), identification of erroneous charges and need for correction, and projection of annual transportation requirements for assigned TAC(s). Assist with initiating Purchasing Requests (PR), Project Orders (PO), Military Interdepartmental Purchase Requests (MIPRs), buy actions, and budget for repairs. Respond to phone calls and requests for status from external and internal customers. Review worldwide asset posture and initiate Redistribution Orders (RDOs) where possible. Check the Stock Control System workbasket for excess, disposal, front end screening, and/or reclamation actions. Assist with the management of multiple commodities within the same family group to include minimizing backorders, directing repairs and directing movement of items. Assist in the analysis of inventory support postures to determine ability to provide items to end users and avoid instances of weapon systems being NMCS. Assist with demilitarizing and disposing of obsolete or non-repairable items and removing them from Air Force accountable records. Utilize IT systems, such as TICMS, DO35, DO43, AMST, AMMO Web, in performance of Item Management workload.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • 8 years relevant experince
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security Clearance.
  • In addition to the requirements in 3.8, the Contractor shall apply a thorough knowledge of acquisition to disposal processes; automated records and control systems; material substitution and compatibility criteria for small arms weapons; storage, issue, and disposal processes; USAF mobility requirements, and the USAF supply system as they relate to D200C (ERRC S and U) and Stock Control Systems (SCS) assets.
  • Working knowledge of Purchase Request Process System (PRPS) and Comprehensive Cost and Requirement System (CCaRS)
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of AF accountable supply systems for munitions or non-munition items as applicable to the item(s) being managed.
