As a Voice Systems Engineer with Federated Insurance, you will: Work with an experienced, highly effective team while administering our enterprise voice systems Maximize voice systems performance by continuously improving configuration standards Minimize downtime by quickly troubleshooting, identifying, and resolving issues Collaborate with teammates, architects, and infrastructure experts on projects and designs Grow and develop your technical skills

Requirements

  • Four-year degree with a preferred major in a computer or mathematics-related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Desire to learn and grow professionally in the voice systems engineering field
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Avaya Enterprise Voice Systems is preferred
  • Understanding of, and experience with, the following concepts is preferred:
  • VoIP networking concepts and best practices
  • SIP trunking configuration and troubleshooting
  • Working with outside vendors, SIP carriers, and telecom service providers
  • ServiceNow (incident/request management and workflow development)
  • Twilio administration, integrations, and API-based messaging/voice services

Responsibilities

  • Configure and administer enterprise voice systems across multiple locations
  • Administer and integrate Twilio services, including messaging/voice APIs
  • Automate routine MACDs (Moves, Adds, Changes, Deletes) to streamline workflows
  • Manage and upgrade hardware and software
  • Maintain and refine management, monitoring, and alerting functions
  • Manage incidents and requests in ServiceNow and develop workflow improvements
  • Maintain voice systems documentation
  • Collaborate with SIP carriers and other telecom providers on provisioning and support
  • Participate in an after-hours on call rotation
