About The Position

The IT Technician is responsible for maintaining and supporting the organization's IT systems, including computer hardware, software, and network operations. This role ensures the reliability and performance of all workstations while providing timely technical support to employees. The IT Technician serves as one of the primary points of contact for troubleshooting issues and plays a key role in maintaining system integrity and daily IT operations.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 1–3 years of experience in IT support, systems maintenance, or networking
  • Experience working with current operating systems and basic network environments
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users
  • Working knowledge of computer systems, networks, and common software applications
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality
  • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift 25lbs. or more
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade computer hardware, software, and peripheral equipment.
  • Provide day-to-day technical support to employees, resolving issues in person, remotely, or via phone.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose hardware, software, and basic network issues.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure proper functionality of all IT systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including system updates and network backups.
  • Set up and support user accounts, permissions, and access as needed.
  • Document issues, resolutions, and system changes accurately.
  • Assist with IT projects, upgrades, and system improvements.
  • Maintain security best practices and protect sensitive data.
  • Serve as a reliable resource for employee technical questions and training.
