About The Position

The IT Systems Support Technician works as part of the Information Technology Services Team to maintain all related assets applications and services. Performs other related duties as assigned to support Cahuilla Casino.

Requirements

  • A minimum of AS Degree in Computer Science and/or 2 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft server, Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft email systems.
  • Working knowledge of Server and PC operating systems - such as Windows 2008 and 2012, PC operating systems such as Windows 7 and 8.
  • Strong working knowledge of monitoring and tuning systems to achieve optimum performance levels.
  • Strong working knowledge of configuring and maintaining VMware and virtual environments.
  • Must have a working knowledge of IP Telephony.
  • Working knowledge PC hardware and components including processors, mother boards, accessories, cards, peripherals.
  • Working knowledge of PC/LAN application software including word processing (MS Word), spreadsheets (MS Excel) and E-Mail (MS Outlook).
  • Strong working knowledge of managing multiple linked databases to include security, data safety and integrity, disaster recovery, and development of bulk data import/export procedures.
  • Excellent oral and written skills required.
  • Must be detailed oriented.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to write reports, and or procedure manuals, to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of users, managers.
  • Demonstrated capability, initiative, self-motivation, communication skills and the ability to operate in a "team approach" environment.
  • Must meet requirements to qualify for a Cahuilla Casino Gaming License.
  • Must pass an extensive background security check.
  • No felony convictions and no serious misdemeanor convictions.
  • Must possess the ability to interact with the public, fellow employees, tribal enterprises, and county I state agencies demonstrating respect, tact, courtesy, objectivity and maturity to develop an effective and cooperative working relationship.
  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • Applicant agrees and understands that they are required to be able to successfully complete the 90-day introductory period in consecutive workdays in order to be considered for a position with Cahuilla Casino.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership in the resolution of technical support issues for the Cahuilla Casino.
  • Maintain, monitor and troubleshoot Cahuilla Casino desktop computers, applications, virtual server infrastructure, Windows server environment
  • Maintain, monitor and troubleshoot Cahuilla Casino network based services: File and Print services, Email, Active Directory, DHCP/DNS/WINS
  • Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot Cahuilla Casino messaging, phone and meeting systems
  • Maintain, monitor and troubleshoot Cahuilla Casino document imaging solution
  • Configure, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot windows software deployments
  • Provide and maintain documentation of backup processes and retention periods
  • Provide support for customers
  • Prepare and maintain written documentation of Cahuilla Casino server and application environments
  • Work with department leaders implementing new software and hardware technologies
  • Work with vendors in the process of troubleshooting escalated incidents
  • Work with IT Manager implementing new sever technologies
  • Work with IT Manager implementing new computer technologies
  • Participate in appropriate in-service and workshop programs and attend any required meetings
  • Serve as a role model for staff in demonstrating positive attitudes, appropriate attire and grooming, and an effective work ethic.
  • Ensure compliance with IT Minimum Internal Control Standards
  • Comply with the Cahuilla Casino policies and procedures
  • Comply with the Cahuilla Gaming ordinances, policies and procedures
  • Support other departments with Casino Management System
  • Any other task assigned by management
